Lancashire Visit

Fire Brigade Society Members Visit to Lancashire 12th June 2022

We were delighted to participate in the first area visit in over two years with a tour around South Lancashire on Sunday 12th June 2022.

Around 10 members gathered at Skelmersdale where Station Manager Jonny Nottingham, our host for the day, introduced himself. We then visited a number of stations including Ormskirk, Tarleton, Chorley including the USAR and Training Centre, Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Penwortham and Preston. A large fire in Burnley meant we had to omit a visit to Fulwood who were attending the incident with their CSU and support pump.

A most enjoyable day and great to see a few familiar faces again after what has been a turbulent couple of years. My thanks to Lancashire FRS along with Colin Carter and Gavin Stewart for organising.
